February 02,2023 EVENT

HIGHLACT® exhibited at EcoPro 2022!

Can you imagine a future where it’s okay to throw things away?

HIGHLACT® is a material made from corn-derived polylactic acid (PLA).
Being eco-friendly while enjoying fashion is the new style of fashion sustainability HIGHLACT® is proposing.
EcoPro 2022, which has been taking place since December 7th, is a space where you can experience HIGHLACT® to the fullest!

Visit the HIGHLACT® Original Collection 2022 fashion show!

Let’s wear clothes that will support the future of this planet even when fashion items are thrown away.

At our booth, the HIGHLACT® Original Collection 2022 features the next-generation sustainable material. In addition to trendy fashion items made with HIGHLACT®, the collection also includes black and colorful printed dresses created with professional skills developed in the Japanese textile industry.

People at the event venue were surprised that clothes can really be made from corn, while others commented on how pretty the costumes in the collection are.

We are confident that this show will convince you of the full value of HIGHLACT®. The exhibition will continue until December 9th, so we look forward to seeing you there.

YouTuber MB, one of Japan's men's fashion leaders, will also appear on the stage!

Talk sessions are held at the booth three times a day.

On the first day, YouTuber MB, one of Japan’s men’s fashion leaders, appeared on the stage! We asked him to check out the fashion of our latest clothing fabrics currently under development and men’s apparel scheduled to be released next spring.

In a talk session with Yuichi Taka, General Manager of the Sustainability & Innovation Division, “future clothes” were discussed enthusiastically with the participants!

Entering the booth, you will be welcomed by noren (shop curtains) and byobu (folding screens) made from HIGHLACT®!
The splendid noren is dyed in seven different colors and was created through repeated efforts using domestic dyeing techniques. On the 2.7-meter-high byobu, you can see fabrics such as denim, fleece, wool and satin that have been successfully developed this season.
